Barriere is a district municipality in central British Columbia, located 66 kilometres (45 minutes) north of the larger city of Kamloops on Highway 5. It is situated at the junction of the Barriere River and North Thompson River in the Central North Thompson Valley. It is a smaller area comprised of friendly people who enjoy rural living with a close-community feel.
